Covid-19 Vaccinations
Autumn Booster
Covid vaccinations will continue to be provided by South Downs Health and Care GP Federation for eligible patients.
The following patients are eligible for a Autumn Booster
- adults aged 65 years and over
- residents in a care home for older adults
- individuals aged 6 months to 64 years in a clinical risk group (as defined in tables 3 or 4 in the COVID-19 chapter of the Green Book
- Frontline NHS and social care workers, and those working in care homes for older people

Invitations will be sent by SDHC, either by SMS, phone call or letter. If you receive an SMS message you can book your appointment by following the link in the SMS message. Alternatively, you can call SDHC on 01323 402530. Clinics will begin from 3rd October onwards and are booking from 23rd September.

Housebound patients will be contacted by the Covid Vaccination Team. However, housebound patients can call 01323 402530 to book their visit if they wish.

Do I need to be protected against Pneumococcal Infection?
Everybody aged 65 and over should now be immunised to help protect them against pneumococcal infection which can cause diseases such as pneumonia, septicaemia (blood poisoning) and meningitis. You will be invited by the Practice if you are eligible for the Pneumococcal vaccine. For more information about the vaccine, click here.
Should I have a Shingles Vaccination?
Your eligible for the Shingles Vaccination if you are aged between 70 and 79. You will be invited by the Practice when you are eligible. For more information about the vaccine, click here.
Are you eligible for a Flu Vaccination?
The Flu Vaccination season runs from 1st September to 31st March.
The eligibility criteria can vary from year to year, you can find the current eligibility criteria here.
Patients who are eligible will be invited to book an appointment by the Practice.
